NOTE: AyrMesh IndoorHubs DO NOT mesh with the normal AyrMesh Hubs. They only mesh with other IndoorHubs.
An AyrMesh "Gateway" IndoorHub can be simply connected to any device with an Ethernet port and Internet access. Typically that is an AyrMesh Receiver, Bridge radio, or Remote Hub, but it can also be connected directly to a router.
The light on a "Gateway" IndoorHub will flash purple, then blue (fast), then blue (slow) while the IndoorHub is booting. When it has booted and checked in to AyrMesh.com, it will shine green (no flashing).
An AyrMesh "Remote" IndoorHub is one that is connected to the network via a meshing connection to another IndoorHub. The quality of the connection is shown by the color and how quickly or slowly the light on the IndoorHub blinks.
Light display | Signal strength | Meaning |
Light off | --- | No power |
Yellow light | <-75 dBm | Sees another IndoorHub, but signal is too weak for good use |
Green light every 3 seconds | -65 to -75 dBm | Usable signal - might be a little slow |
Green light every 2 seconds | -55 to -65 dBm | Strong signal - excellent speed |
Green light every second | >-55 dBm | Very strong signal - might want to move the IndoorHubs further apart |
Red light | Error | There is a problem with the IndoorHub (has lost contact with the network) |
