If one of the Bridge radios is not finishing initialization (the "chase" lights keep going and the right-hand light never comes on solid), then make sure:
- You have the Bridge radio connected to your network,
- That the network it has Internet connectivity (a computer plugged into the same network connection can access the Internet), and
- That the lights on the power supply, receiver , and the router are all on,
If you are having trouble installing the Bridge Remote radio in the field, FIRST, be absolutely sure you successfully initialized in (the green light on the right came on, by itself, and stayed on) and that the radio is getting power (lights on).
Second, make sure the Remote Bridge radio is high enough to "see" well over any obstructions and the "label" side of the Remote Bridge radio is facing the front of the Gateway radio. If the Remote radio is facing the Gateway radio and no lights come on (or only the Red light comes on), consider mounting the Remote radio higher in the air and/or someplace with fewer obstructions. The light patterns on the Receiver are as follows:
Just the left-most light on - power on, but the radio is not working. Wait a few minutes. Right-most light blinks while booting.
Left-most light on and adjacent light on or blinking - radio working and device attached to the Ethernet port.
Left-most light on and adjacent light on or blinking, signal lights shifting back and forth - radio working and trying to check in to AyrMesh.com
Left-most light on, adjacent light on or blinking, and right-most light on - radio has finished initialization with AyrMesh.com and is ready for installation
Signal lights:
Red only - signal less than -75 dBm - may not be able to maintain a steady connection
Red plus yellow - signal between -75 and -65 dBm - good signal
Red plus yellow plus one green - signal between -65 and -55 dBm - excellent signal
Red, yellow, and two green - signal greater than -55 dBm - extremely strong signal
If you are still having trouble, please send an email to support@ayrmesh.com or open a case here with the following information:
- Your ayrmesh.com username (not password)
- Explain exactly what happened when you followed these directions.
- The MAC address of the Receiver (from the label on the front)
