Connecting a Hub Directly to a Cell tower

I installed a legacy AyrMesh system about 15 years ago in rural Eastern Ontario that had been working perfectly transmitting data from my solar system to an internet connection at my house about 0.4 miles away. Connectivity was lost in early April this year and one of my hubs failed. I purchased a Hub2T and a a Hub 2X2 to replace the old ones but they are having trouble communicating with each other - I believe the issue is tree growth as we are located on a lake pretty much surrounded by bush. There is a cell tower on the lake shore likely with in a mile of the transmitting hub. Is it possible to connect a hub wirelessly to the cell tower and if so, what sort of additional equipment would be required? Thanks.
