Setting up Wifi on our farm on a hill
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to design a system using these products for Wifi on our home farm, which is set on a hill. The goal would be to have access over the hill and down the other side, for about 8-10 HD camera feeds for wifi surveillance of the fields/fence lines. We have 60 acres, with a slope of about 250 ft top to bottom (top is north, bottom is south) over ¼ mile, with the farm house centered on the edge, (at about 100 ft elevation from the bottom corner), with a hill behind the house (house is nestled into a bit of a hollow). There is line of site east to west from the top of the house to the top of the hill, but the back side of the hill drops about 200 ft in elevation over about ¼ mile as well to the west edge of the farm, so there is no line of site from the house to the back field - one of the surveillance targets. Our goal would be to have good coverage over the whole field, with solar power/battery support for any hubs/access points needed to add. Want to get an idea of which hubs would be best, and how many would be needed for coverage. Farm is essentially a rectangle, about 1300ft by 2000 ft. Any insight into designing a solution here would be ideal. We are looking to attach standard wifi connected cameras with individual solar/battery power around the perimeter, hence needing about 8-10 cameras.
