NOTE: AyrMesh IndoorHubs DO NOT mesh with the normal AyrMesh Hubs. They only mesh with other IndoorHubs.
An AyrMesh "Gateway" IndoorHub can be simply connected to any device with an Ethernet port and Internet access. Typically that is an AyrMesh Receiver, Bridge radio, or Remote Hub, but it can also be connected directly to a router.
The light on a "Gateway" IndoorHub will flash while the IndoorHub is booting, then flash more while it's contacting AyrMesh.com to check in, then will shine solid without flashing.
If you have a Gateway IndoorHub (one connected to the network via an Ethernet cable) and the light is flashing, it means that whatever it is connected to is not permitting it access to the Internet.
An AyrMesh "Remote" IndoorHub is one that is connected to the network via a meshing connection to another IndoorHub. The quality of the connection is shown by how quickly or slowly the light on the IndoorHub blinks.
Blink Lasts | Signal strength | Meaning |
Light off | No signal | Cannot see other IndoorHubs |
4 seconds | <-75 dBm | Sees another IndoorHub, but signal is too weak for good use |
3 seconds | -65 to -75 dBm | Usable signal - might be a little slow |
2 seconds | -55 to -65 dBm | Strong signal - excellent speed |
1 second | >-55 dBm | Very strong signal - might want to have the IndoorHubs further apart |
quick blinking | Error | There is a problem with the IndoorHub (may be that it has lost contact with other IndoorHubs) |

I just purchase three of the new receivers and three indoor hubs. The receivers powered up and are working fine just as I expected from AyrMesh Product. I have use these products for almost 30 years. I am very disappointed in the indoor hubs. Out of three hubs I have zero working products. Asking for support I am just getting continuous emails back and forth. I am not an inexperienced user. I have many of these systems in the field and working for many years.
